Self development counselling online to help you become more yourself
Maybe nothing is exactly wrong, but something isn't quite right either. You say yes when you mean no, you doubt yourself more than you'd like, or you're not sure what you want any more. Online self development counselling gives you time and space to work out who you are and how you want to live.

How self development counselling can benefit you
You don't need to be in crisis to see a counsellor. Plenty of people come to us because they want to understand themselves better, feel more confident, or stop repeating the same patterns. Self development counselling is simply therapy that's focused on growth rather than a specific problem.
With a trained therapist, you get a rare thing: an hour where the focus is entirely on you, with someone who listens closely and isn't part of your everyday life. That makes it easier to be honest, to notice what's really going on, and to try out new ways of thinking about yourself.
Over time, many people find they feel clearer about what matters to them, kinder towards themselves and more able to make choices that fit. The changes can be quiet ones, but they tend to last.
The goals of self development counselling
Everyone's reasons are different, but a few themes come up again and again.
Confidence and self-esteem
Understanding where self-doubt comes from, and slowly building a more realistic, more generous view of yourself and what you're capable of.
Boundaries
Learning to notice your own needs, say no without drowning in guilt, and ask for what you want in work, family and relationships.
People-pleasing
Looking at why keeping everyone else happy feels so important, and what it costs you. Then practising small ways of putting yourself back in the picture.
Purpose and direction
Exploring your values, what gives your life meaning and where you'd like to head next, whether that's a career change or just feeling more like yourself.
Qualities of a good self development counsellor
The relationship you have with your therapist matters more than almost anything else. A good self development counsellor is warm but honest, curious about you without judging you, and able to gently challenge you when it would help. They won't hand you answers. They'll help you find your own.
Every therapist at the clinic is qualified, insured, registered with a professional body and personally interviewed by our founder, Kay. Many work in a person-centred or integrative way, which suits growth-focused work well. Tell us what you're hoping for and we'll match you with someone who fits.

Questions about self development counselling
Not at all. Many people come simply because they want to grow, understand themselves better or feel more settled in their own skin. Wanting more from life is a perfectly good reason to start.
Coaching usually focuses on goals and actions. Self development counselling does that too, but also looks at the feelings, beliefs and past experiences that shape how you act now. That deeper understanding is often what makes change stick.
Yes. Low confidence often comes from old beliefs about yourself that were never questioned. Talking them through with a counsellor, by video from somewhere you feel comfortable, can help you see yourself more clearly and more kindly.
It's up to you. Some people come for a set number of sessions around one theme, like boundaries or a big decision. Others find they value ongoing time to reflect. You and your therapist will review things together, and you're never locked in.
That's really common, and it's fine. Your therapist will help you get started, often by asking what brought you here now. The conversation tends to find its way to what matters.
You'll find our current prices on our fees page. Sessions last 50 minutes.
