Depression Counselling online

Several types of therapy exist for depression, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis, and family therapy. Cognitive therapy helps the patient identify and change the negative thoughts and behaviors that cause depression. Cognitive therapy is generally short-term and goal-oriented, and requires a certain amount of homework outside of the sessions. Behavioural therapy, on the other hand, focuses on changing the behaviours that cause emotional distress.

Psychodynamic therapy is a treatment more extensive, it explores past experiences in order to develop a stronger sense of self. Depression is often caused by unresolved conflicts, which often began in childhood. Online Psychodynamic therapy for depression, helps the patient identify and bear their full range of emotions, which often include contradictory and troubling emotions.
