I’m not okay

It’s okay to not be okay

It’s okay to be not okay.

It can be hard to accept that you are not okay. You might feel like there is something wrong with you, or that the way you feel doesn’t make sense. You may think that it would be better if you were happy and confident all of the time.

But it’s important for us to remember that we are human beings, and we have feelings too! We experience sadness, anger and fear just like everyone else. It is normal for us to feel like we aren’t good enough sometimes, just like everyone else does too! And yes, even if someone has lots of friends or appears ‘successful’ on social media – they can still struggle with negative stuff too!!

The first step is to understand your thoughts and feel what you need to feel. But that’s only the first step – there are things you can do to change your self-perception and stop self-criticism.

The first step is to understand your thoughts and feel what you need to feel. But that’s only the first step – there are things you can do to change your self-perception and stop the self-criticism. You can:

  • Take a break from the situation if it’s too much for you in that moment.
  • Write down three positive things about yourself, like “I’m good at taking care of other people” or “I have beautiful eyes.”
  • Exercise and eat healthy foods every day—it will help you feel better about yourself!

In the end, it’s important not to get stuck in negative self-talk. You can’t control what other people think about you, but you can control how much time and energy you spend worrying about their opinions. The first step is always understanding your thought patterns and feeling what is true for yourself; then, from there, make a choice about how much attention you want to pay them. If negative self-talk feels like it’s getting in the way of living your best life? Then it’s time to change course!
